| The purpose of the Ovilla Garden Club is to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening by promoting all phases of home gardening, civic beauty, and the conservation of the environment. |
| We are affiliated with and cooperate with the Texas Garden Clubs, Inc., the National Council of State Garden Clubs, the Dallas Council of Garden Clubs and the Oak Cliff Forum |
The Ovilla Garden Club was chartered in 1971 and is responsible for erecting the Blue Star Memorial Highway Marker on Highway 287 in Midlothian, Texas in 1976 and refurbishing and restoring the marker in 2003. | Membership is not limited to residents of Ovilla. Dues are $15.00 per year and are due in May. Each active member receives a subscription to the Lone Star Gardener which is a publication of the Texas Garden Club.
